Background:
Alison joined College Ready at the beginning of her junior year with an impressive academic record and a genuine passion for leadership and service. She was already a motivated student, but she wanted a clear strategy to maximize her opportunities for college admission and merit scholarships.
Throughout high school, Alison challenged herself academically while remaining actively involved in student leadership and community service. She earned a 3.9 unweighted GPA and a 4.2 weighted GPA and was recognized as an AP Scholar, with plans to achieve AP Scholar with Distinction by graduation.
Outside the classroom, Alison served as President of the Class of 2025, held a long-standing leadership role in Associated Student Body (ASB), and volunteered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting individuals and families affected by mental illness. She also expanded her financial literacy by attending Harvard Summer School’s Personal Finance program.
Together, Alison and College Ready focused on transforming an already strong student profile into a highly competitive college application that emphasized both academic excellence and meaningful leadership.
